Brilliance at Fyvie Concert
Dear Dr Whale and the Herbert Hurd Staff
I attended the Fyvie Concert last night (22 October) and was blown away! Congratulations to Megan and the dedicated music staff on a memorable celebration of music.
The choir songs and band pieces were beautifully presented, and it was lovely to see how much the pupils enjoyed performing together. Those who took part individually or in ensembles were composed, well-prepared and an absolute pleasure to hear.
For some, appearing before an audience must have been daunting, yet it was particularly heartening to witness their pride and growing confidence after completing their pieces. Those moments made the occasion even more special.
I especially appreciated the relaxed, informal setting, which created such a warm atmosphere.
The staff contributions were another highlight and added to the fun of the evening.
We all know that events like this do not simply happen. They require hours of preparation, dedication, teamwork and commitment behind the scenes. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success.
Herbert Hurd, you have every reason to be proud! Well done to all involved, and may you continue to nurture and celebrate the wonderful musical talent within your school.
Keep up the excellent work!
Warm regards,
Janet Pons
