OUR VALUES

Herbert Hurd is a child-centred school where we endeavour to develop learners to their full potential in order to meet all the requirements of a developing world.

All our teachers and learners work tirelessly to achieve our goals.

It is our aim to develop a schooling programme that leads to:


The development of the following accepted and respected values:

  • Pride taken in all aspects of schooling and life;

  • The cultivation of sound discipline;

  • The development of an academic awareness; by creating a diversity of academic incentives;

  • Participation in a comprehensive sporting and cultural programme;

  • The maintenance of strong values and the ethos of Herbert Hurd;

  • Creating opportunities in a secure, comfortable and disciplined environment;

  • The development of each learner’s self-esteem and confidence by giving deserved praise, acknowledging achievement relation to ability and
