Herbert Hurd Primary School is a highly regarded institution, for its commitment to tradition, excellence in education and technology rich co-curricular programme. Due to its popularity, we maintain an annual waitlist for learner placements.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to apply early to secure a spot for your child. Thank you for considering us as part of your child's educational journey.
GRADE 1
Please note that our applications for Grade ONE for the following year usually opens in February and closes in March.
All successful applications will receive a letter confirming placement in the school for their child. On receipt of this letter, a deposit will have to be paid.

GRADES 2 TO 7
Applications for Grades 2 to 7 are limited, as we try to maintain a constant number of learners within each grade.
However; there are learners who leave and create vacancies. Applications for Grades 2 to 7 usually open in July for the following year.. A link will be posted in the APPLICATIONS tab.
There is no closing date for these applications. They are subject to availability. Please do not hesitate to contact the school administrative office if you need further information.
NEW PARENTS - 2027
A new parent orientation evening will be held in January 2027, to inform parents about the school. Details of this are posted to all successful applicants.
