Maths Week at our school was anything but ordinary! Our Grade 7 learners took on a unique and exciting challenge—creating their very own pizzas using fractions, decimals, and percentages. With the help of digital learning tools, they designed and calculated their way to the perfect pizza.
Each learner carefully divided their pizza into different fractions, assigned toppings, and converted their portions into decimals and percentages. Accuracy was key, and the results were both impressive and mouth-watering! From classic cheese and tomato to creative combinations like pineapple and olives, the pizzas were as varied as they were mathematically precise.
Mr. Parker surprised his class with a delicious treat from the tuckshop, making sure they got a taste of real pizza after all their hard work. To add to the excitement, the most creative and most accurate pizza designers were rewarded with a sweet treat!
Who said Maths can’t be fun? Our Grade 7s certainly proved that learning and delicious food can go hand in hand!
